Over the years, I have been become involved with a variety of nude or clothing-optional social groups. Each of them had something different to offer, but the common factor was the option to socialize with others while naked.

To many, the idea of taking your clothes off to be social doesn’t compute, however over the years, my friends have accepted that when we socialize at our home, I will most likely be naked (this is more true in the summer months naturally). There is no pressure or expectation that anyone else will be naked, even though many times others will join me in my state of undress. It’s just more comfortable for me to be naked in my own home – whether solo or with others.

Of course, over the past few months, the opportunity to do any socialization has been incredibly limited. On the flip side, there have been very few days where there has been any need to put clothes on. The obligatory tee shirt or polo shirt gets put on when Zoom calls are planned, but for those social Zoom calls with friends, those items stay hanging up. My thinking is that a virtual social should not be any different to actual social.

As some of the previously referenced groups have discontinued their availability, the idea of setting up a “non-landed” group has been gaining more traction. Talking with other naturist friends in the North Texas area, there is support, and there is definitely a void to be filled (at least partially).

Social Naturists will be kicking off shortly, and I am excited to be a part of this new opportunity for social nudism in the North Texas area. We are exploring what the activities could be – both virtually and in the future when normalcy begins to return to our lives. We will also be looking at affiliations with the major naturist organizations to join them in advancing naturism at a local level.
