Seventeen years. That’s how long the United States has gone without a seat at the International Naturist Federation. No delegate, no vote, no voice — while nearly every other country with a naturist community had a seat at the world’s table. That gap closed today.
I’ve spent the last several months working with a small group of people to build something that fixes it, and I’m genuinely thrilled to finally say it out loud: the Federation of United Naturists & Nudists (FUNN) is live, and INF-FNI has formally recognized us as the official U.S. representative.
Full disclosure — I’m on FUNN’s founding board as Treasurer. I don’t say that to sell you on it. I say it because I’ve watched this build from the inside, and I want you to know exactly why I’m this excited about it.
Why this matters more than it sounds
INF-FNI isn’t a ceremonial club. Its General Assembly meets every two years and decides how naturism gets defended and represented worldwide — the kind of decisions that determine whether naturism is treated as legitimate or left exposed. Every member federation gets a vote there, weighted by membership size. For the first time since 2009, that vote is cast on behalf of U.S. naturists. And because it’s weighted by size, every person who joins FUNN makes that voice louder.
Membership also opens something practical: access to INF-FNI-approved naturist clubs and grounds in more than forty countries, plus Focus, their newsletter, and events like the International Swimming Gala.
What FUNN isn’t
FUNN isn’t here to replace anything you’re already part of. It’s not competing with your club, your resort membership, or the other naturist organizations doing good work in this space. It’s built to be the easy, digital-first companion to all of that — the missing international layer.
It’s member-led from day one. Every Charter Member gets an actual vote in how FUNN is governed. That’s not a talking point; it’s the design.
The part where I ask you to do something
Charter Membership is open right now, through the end of the year, at $6 — locked in at that rate for as long as you stay a member. That price alone should make this an easy yes, but the real reason to act now is that Charter Members aren’t just early joiners. You’re part of the actual founding of this thing, at the exact moment the U.S. gets its seat back.
