I resigned from the TNSF Board…

After serving on the Naturist Society Foundation Inc. (TNSF) Board of Directors for the past three years, earlier today I tendered my resignation.

This decision was made after careful consideration and with a profound sense of sadness regarding the recent direction taken by members of the TNSF board.

Throughout my years of service beginning in 2022, I have remained deeply committed to the mission and vision of TNSF. I am proud that the organization is in a demonstrably stronger position today than when I joined the board. Together, we have implemented meaningful improvements to our operations, governance structures, and programmatic reach that have enhanced our capacity to serve our community effectively.

However, over the past few weeks there has been a concerted effort by some members of the board and staff to focus on tarnishing my character and diminish the contributions I have made during a period of significant positive change for the organization. This was my doing, as I raised concerns about the financial management and practices within our organization that, as Treasurer, I recently only became aware of. While TNSF has policies in place for these kinds of concerns, which I followed, the board leadership opted to go a different route.

I regret that I was unable to find a resolution to these challenges, though it became apparent that that resolution was not an option for some board members. This reality, while disappointing, has clarified that my continued service would not be productive for either the organization or myself.

Despite these difficulties, I have extended my best wishes to the board members of TNSF in the hope that the organization continues to build on the success that I have contributed to over the past few years. I will remain an engaged member of this organization, and I will do all I can to keep accountability and transparency at the forefront of what members should expect of our organization, as I continue to believe in the importance of the work we do and the community we serve.

Naturally,
James Nunn
former Board Member and Treasurer
